The SVEA project

The SVEA project, led by MFG Baden-Württemberg and funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, aimed at increasing the cooperation as well as the social media skills of trainers working in the VET and adult training field in Europe. SVEA developed a training programme for trainers working in the VET and adult training field, to train them in the use of social media tools. The training programme is based on the regional needs analysis carried out in spring 2010 in the five partner regions (Flanders (B), Baden-Württemberg (D), Piemonte (I), Extremadura (ES), Wales (UK)) to identify the needs, trends and challenges involved in integrating social media tools within the VET and adult training throughout Europe.
In parallel with the training programme, a collaborative online platform has been developed which trainers can use to increase their knowledge of the use of social media within further education courses.
